The traditional focal point of the Christmas season is the Christmas market on Theaterplatz, which has been around since 1570. Here you will find lots of festively decorated stalls with hot drinks and sweet and savory treats. The Christmas market opens on November 22.

The ice arena is located on Paradeplatz, nestled in a rustic hut village with a large alpine hut, against the picturesque backdrop of the New Palace. From November 16th, skate elegant circles on the ice or show off your curling skills!

From November 16, the Almhütte on Paradeplatz offers delicious delicacies in a cozy and rustic atmosphere. From there you have the perfect view of the hustle and bustle on the ice rink.

The Winter Lounge in the arcades of the Old Town Hall offers you pure Christmas feeling. Surrounded by fir branches, cozily warm thanks to sheepskin, blankets and a mushroom heater, and served with delicious hot drinks and spicy cakes, it is a wonderful place to relax with family and friends.

The winter beer garden in the daydream is characterized by a lot of attention to detail and the Swiss mountain village character. From hot water bottles and organic mulled wine, to homemade cookies, raclette breads and Swiss cheese fondue, there is something for everyone in our huts and ski gondolas.

Look forward to the Christkindl! Angelically in white he flutters through the city and conjures up not only children, but also adults a sparkle in the eyes. You are welcome to approach the Christkindl when you see him floating through the city center! Tip: In the pedestrian zone, at the Paradeplatz and at the Theaterplatz the chances are good to get a few nibbles from the Christkindl.

Let yourself be carried away into the world of nativity scenes and be inspired by the beauty of the numerous nativity scenes. The atmospheric approx. two-hour tour "Kumm, geh' ma Kripperl schaugn..." leads along the Ingolstadt Nativity Scene Trail. On selected examples you will get to know the history of development and tradition of the Christmas crib in general and especially in Ingolstadt.

The nostalgic fairy tale trail takes you on a journey to the land of fairy tales. Lovingly set up fairy tale huts stand in the Mauthstraße to the Paradeplatz. Will you find the wicked witch of Snow White or the frog eagerly waiting for the kiss of the beautiful princess?
