Frankenstein Day
in Ingolstadt
"She returns home"
August 30 is celebrated as International Frankenstein Day in honor of the British writer Mary Shelley. She published the bestseller "Frankenstein or The Modern Prometheus" in 1818. In her novel, Victor Frankenstein, a student at the university in Ingolstadt, creates the first human-like artificial intelligence. Because of its appearance, the creation is expelled, roams Europe and eventually becomes a famous film character in Hollywood. The myth grows worldwide, but the creation finally wants to return to Ingolstadt in search of its identity. Come with us on a search for clues and show the creation that it has found its new old home in Ingolstadt on the first Ingolstadt Frankenstein Day.
